Ardmore Water
Treatment Plant
Ardmore Water Treatment Plant
Around 70 percent of Auckland’s water goes through the Ardmore water treatment plant. For Fulton Hogan this $25 million project on behalf of Watercare Services Limited is combining almost every aspect of work relating to water you can imagine.
The programme is to increase resilience at the treatment plant to meet more stringent water treatment regulations. It involves a total revamp of Ardmore’s two storage reservoirs, with complete internal removal works and rebuilding of baffle walls, weir walls, inlet/outlet structures and pipework within the two tanks. As well as the reservoirs, the project includes a number of upgrades to the site’s pipe network including an upgrade to the pump-station, a new site crossover pipeline and a complete overhaul on the site’s compliance and chemical systems
This project also includes the installation of the largest isolation valve installed on Watercare’s network to date.
